Laax

The Last Day Pass

The advance glacier in the popular ski resort of Laax in Switzerland is melting due to global warming. According to calculations, it will be gone forever in 35 years.

Together with ETH Zurich, we calculated the last day of the glacier - 03.04.2056. Then we gave boarders the chance to postpone this day into the future - with the Last Day Pass. Every pass sold postpones the last day by 10 minutes, as the proceeds are used to offset a guaranteed 1000 kg of CO2 and plant trees around the glacier. Within one week, we have offset 306,000 kg of CO2.
